Storylines is a production company with expertise in a wide range of audiovisual areas, including film production, documentaries, advertising and music videos. We have broad international experience, having developed projects in numerous countries, including Argentina, Greece, India, Spain, Senegal, Sweden and the US. Our works have been awarded at numerous festivals around the world.
The company is a spillover of Visiones de Cine, originally founded in 2002 in New York by a group of art and film students at Columbia University. In 2008 Storylines established its headquarters in Spain, where it expanded its activities and provided editorial and consulting services and started coproducing with Cool Shot Films. In 2014 Storylines began offering film production services in the United States, developing a new line of Spanish-English creative initiatives.
In 2017 Storylines was the first company to coproduce a feature film between Spain, the US and India, titled Alex’s Strip” (“La cinta de Álex”), written and directed by Irene Zoe Alameda. After winning important film festivals in those three countries, the movie had a succesful theatrical release in the summer of 2020, being the first Spanish movie after the first wave of the Covid pandemic. Critically acclaimed, the movie was a candidate to the 2021 Goya awards of the Spanish Film Academy in 12 categories.
Between 2021 and 2023, in addition to providing film services, Storylines will be involved in several major projects, including a documentary (“Animal Persona”), a non-fiction series for CNN (“Jerusalem”), and a new feature film.
We make visual stories, knowing that images can say more than a thousand words. We work with creative filmmakers who want to influence the societies that surround them. And we give voice to those who know that positive change can best be done through persuasive entertainment.
